Student Board:

Current Chair of the Board: Mariella DiStefano

"Hey! My name is Mariella, and I'm a junior Biology major here at Eastern! Some fun facts about me- I love nature, cooking, anything to do with music, good food, and making people feel loved. Most importantly (of course), my favorite colors are sunshine yellow and forest green. While at Eastern, I have been involved with so much, and through these different classes, clubs, and experiences, I've learned about God's creation in biology, and grown in listening to and leading others. As a freshmen, I became invested in the community at Eastern, mostly through LFP and other clubs, such as Wednesday Night Worship. Now, I am Chair of the LFP, President of Wednesday Night Worship, have had the privilege of being a Student Chaplain, and am a Lab Assistant for a Biology class. One day I dream of finding a way for my passions about different cultures, strong communities, and creativity to intersect in the field of Biology."

Previous Chair of the Board: Jacob Breyer

"I am Jacob Breyer and through LFP I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve as a small group leader, as well as the chair of the program. It has been a great experience and I am beyond greatful for the oppurtunities that LFP has blessed me with. Outside of LFP, I am a player on and a captain of the Eastern University baseball team."

Current Board Members:

Alicia Michaels

"My name is Alicia Michaels and I'm currently a senior Criminal Justice major. Apart from the board, I currently serve as a Prison Ministry leader here at Eastern and as a member of the Youth Aid Panel of Montgomery County. I have also served as a TA, a student chaplain, along with being involved with other on-campus groups. My heart beats for juvenile justice and I hope to pursue that once I graduate!"

Frederick Yahn

"Name: Freddy Yahn
Class of 2020
Major: Middle-Level Education
Roles On Campus:
Baseball Player (First Baseman)
Served as a Student Chaplain Sophomore year
Served as a Small Group Leader Junior year"

Molly Koerber

"Molly Koerber, class of 2021 is double majoring in Youth Ministries and Biblical Studies at Eastern! Leadership roles on campus include LFP Small Group Leader, CWT Leader, and of course, LFP Board. When she is not running around like a crazy person, you can find Molly crocheting in a corner, reciting a bunch of useless information about coffee, singing worship tunes, and giving eighty people hugs in the Jammin Java. "

Rebecca Kallinkal

"I am a second-year Nursing major in Eastern’s undergraduate program also studying for a Spanish minor. Currently, I am one of Eastern’s Campus Ministry student leaders. This academic school year God provided the opportunity for me to help serve and lead as the President for Eastern’s Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter. I also help manage the various social media platforms for LFP as the Digital Media Coordinator."

Jamilyn Donaldson

"I am a senior at Eastern University, double majoring in Early Childhood Education and Spanish K-12. I am currently a student teacher and finishing my last semester of my undergrad. I have enjoyed being a part of LFP and the opportunities that it has given me. I have gained many life long friends through this program since my freshman year and it has been a blessing. I love to play soccer and I am a  multi and short sprinter on Eastern University’s Track and Field athletic team. I enjoy singing and dancing, as well as hanging out with friends and family. I am also an artist and love to spend free time painting, drawing, and practicing the art of hand lettering."

Stephanie Druid

"I am a sophomore at Eastern University, part of the LFP 2021 Cohort. I'm a Biology Major and Spanish Minor, with plans to go into the field of Animal Behavior and Conservation. I am also on the Eastern Women's Lacrosse Team. I love music and nature (especially animals), and Steve Irwin is my inspiration."
